Performing Gender – Dancing in Your Shoes 2020- 2023

is an extensive European project that focuses on connecting dance and performing arts to gender issues and the wider community. This edition of the project focused on audience development and artistic practice. It brought together artists, managers, producers, researchers and local communities from eight European countries - Italy, UK, Slovenia, Spain, France, Holland, Hungary and Sweden. Performing Gender upholds the belief that gender, sexuality, LGBTQI+ identities, can be questioned and explored throughout the dance language and the local engagement of the community.

Who’s Looking At Who?

is a one-off escapade let loose at the end of a five-day dance theatre experiment. A multi-layered process of invention, intervention and improvisation. The event will take shape as it is witnessed by the audience. Expect a playful collision between the spontaneous and the practiced – a window into a creative process and enquiries into identity, community and what it is to be called a ‘performer’.
